In March 2017 my girlfriend took me on a long-awaited trip to NYC where she had lived for several years.
We arrived just in time for a surprise late-spring blizzard, simultaneously testing the mettle of a native Texan while offering to my photographer's eye a city draped in light and dark magic. I was in awe of so many things: the quiet contemplation of the 911 memorial, the iconic bridges, towers and buildings, the subterranean city of subways, the organic shapes of Central Park trees against solid walls, and so much more... I want to go back.
